Club Run to Elphinstone Pub

Another successful Club run held on an almost sunny and really cold Sunday arvo. No chance of anything overheating today. We met at the One Tree Hill Hotel in Spring Gully at 12.30 for a 1pm departure. About 35 members turned out for this one, which is probably the biggest we've had so far. Quite a lot of previously un-seen vehicles today which made the cruise to Elphinstone an awesome sight. How rough is that road though? I'm sure I'm not the only one still bitchin' about rough roads - Baz, are you with me?
Can't you just picture a cruise through the bayside suburbs of the Mornington Peninsula to the Portsea Pub? Smooth.
The Elphingstone Pub was warm. the beer was cold and it was a good chance to catch up with mates.
From Elphinstone we took the really smooth road into Castlemaine, then on to Harcourt where half the members decided to follow whoever was in the lead and take the wrong, long way back in to Bendigo. The others went the right way through Nth Harcourt and back to the One Tree Hill Hotel where we had started three hours earlier. Hands up those members that forgot to drive to Elphingstone and stayed in the pub all afternoon.
The only scare all day was the police highway patrol turning around and giving the blue VC Commodore a long stare.
All's well that ends well.
Thanks to the Events Committee for another successfully organised day. Good job guys.
